We just returned from the trip of a lifetime to Europe, spending over two weeks exploring incredible sights and locations. The journey was filled with inspiration, especially from the astounding art we encountered. As an art lover, visiting art museums is one of my favorite pastimes, and Europe did not disappoint!
Our kids often joke about how every vacation and many weekends involve tracking down art museums, but this trip took that to a whole new level. The Louvre in Paris was absolutely mesmerizing, and I was surprised by the remarkable art at Versailles. Though we only glimpsed the Gardens from the windows, I longed for more time to explore them. The diverse flowers, intricate tile patterns, and beautiful brick roads and iron grates sparked so many creative ideas.
Upon returning home, we were greeted by a mountain of fabric boxes that had arrived in our absence. It felt like Christmas as we opened each one! We've added some exciting new collections to the shop, including Picture Book by Kimberly Kight and a few pieces from Pivot by Rashida Coleman. Both lines are filled with fabulous blenders, perfect for mixing and matching into various combinations. The strawberries in Picture Book are especially adorable in every colorway, guaranteed to brighten any project.
We also received stunning new pieces from the Orchard collection by Rifle Paper Co. The florals in pink and white backgrounds are simply beautiful and would make lovely additions to a baby quilt or a stylish bag pattern. And the Fruit Stickers fabric is just so fun and playful! They would look fantastic in a Hemingway Pouch from Center Street Quilts or any whimsical project you have in mind.
Stay tuned as we add more pieces from these collections to the shop in the coming weeks. I can't wait to see what you create with these inspiring new fabrics!
